Never made an epoxy table before? No worries, this kit is made with beginners in mind. Follow along step-by-step with our simple written and video instruction guides to learn exactly how we make epoxy river tables for our customers. We walk you through preparing the mold to mixing and pouring the epoxy to sanding and finally finishing the table top, including our tips and tricks along the way.
This kit includes:
2 – 40″ long live edge Pine slabs
1 high quality plywood table mold (form w/bottom & four unassembled sides and screws),
6 L EcoPoxy Flowcast 2:1 Epoxy kit (includes resin and hardener)
5g bag of EcoPoxy Metallic color pigment (color of your choice)
2 gallon mixing bucket
5 quart Mix N’ Measure plastic container
.125 L OSMO Polyx Oil, satin
2 white applicator pads
1 roll of flash tape
1 syringe applicator

About the supplies-
Our slabs are always properly dried, flattened, sanded and ready to use. For this kit, we cut a full slab in half down the middle to create the two edges that will from the “river”. The form has been precut to fit the slabs perfectly and is made from high quality Baltic Birch plywood, making it durable, customizable and reusable. The included epoxy (EcoPoxy Flowcast) is a premium, high quality deep pour epoxy that is a popular choice for river tables. It is extremely low odor, great at releasing bubbles, and cures hard and clear. Finally, the Osmo Polyx Oil, our choice for the final finish, is a clear hardwax-oil that is super easy to apply, is extremely durable and water resistant, and really brings out the natural beauty of the wood and the epoxy. We think you will love it!
You also have the option to include our custom made steel legs with your kit. Our legs come painted black with screw inserts to make for a quality fastening system. Adhesive felt pads included to protect your floor. If you choose to purchase the kit without legs, you will, of course, need to provide your own table legs.
You will need some very basic woodworking experience and tools to get you through this project. We recommend you have:
Drill, clamps, acrylic or silicone caulk, level, heat gun or torch, sanding supplies, (our website supplies abrasives) belt sander or access to a wood shop for sanding, lacquer thinner or denatured alcohol, safety goggles, & tack cloth
This kit is also highly customizable. We encourage you to make it your own!
Depending on how you choose to design it, you may also want to have: a table saw, a router + router bit (we used a Freud 1/2″ round over), wood hardener (we suggest Osmo Extra Thin), putty and/or quick setting epoxy to fill small imperfections (we recommend System Three Quick Cure 15) and colored stain (we love Osmo Wood Wax colors).
