Maple, Rock (H) (Acer saccharum)
Also known as hard maple, white maple, sugar maple. Canada and Eastern USA. Cream and white with a slight reddish tinge. Large trees may have a dark heartwood. Texture is fine and even. Commonly used for flooring and higher-end cabinetry and furniture. It is excellent for turnery and can have a beautiful birdseye appearance. NOTE: Our S2S Maple is milled from recycled sugar maple plantation trees. We also have complimenting moulding with rich character color tones throughout the wood. Specific Gravity .72; 45 lbs/cu ft.
